Lentini - a slight diversion

Apologies, I had to post this having used my children's old Thomas the tank engine set for the track. Now rebased and ready for use in another context.

Thomas, "Oh dear, I don't think we are in Sodor any more!"
Annie "Don't be silly"
Claribel "You mean Sicily!"

With thanks to the Rev W Awdrey for may years peace (a relative term)

The Syracusa to Catania railway line now runs past Lentini.

I hope poor Thomas the tank doesn't run into any other kind of tanks!

Sodor, the worlds most dangerous railway, with more accidents than a season of Stock Car Racing. It wouldn't place it beyond Thomas to get this lost either...

Ahhh, peace, I seem to remember hearing about that some time ago, almost 7 years ago now. It somehow relates to "lie in" and other mythical and legendary occurrences.

Cheers, Andy

Very nice. I've enjoyed watching the Lentini project develop. A lot of good terrain ideas.

Interestingly (possibly) Thomas' background has it that he was originally in the service of the London Brighton and South Coast Railway, but was written off as lost on war service during ww1, when in fact he was safe and sound with his crew on Sodor, though they unable to explain how they had come to be there...strange that it should happen to them again...
